Does monday.com integrate with QuickBooks for a construction company?

monday.com · Updated
Short answer

Yes. A construction company can have monday.com create QuickBooks invoices automatically when a job reaches billable status, with Make.com moving the job data, blocking duplicate invoices and writing the invoice ID back to the job. PCMGKC, a construction and maintenance contractor, cut manual invoice processing time by 70 to 85% this way.

In detail

The job record stays in monday.com, where scope, client details, pricing and billable items are entered once. QuickBooks stays the financial system of record. Make.com sits between them as the automation layer, so nobody re-keys line items into accounting software.

What the integration does

  • Creates the invoice inside QuickBooks only when the job meets the billing conditions you define
  • Pulls structured job data and validates the financial inputs first
  • Prevents duplicate invoices if a status is changed twice
  • Writes the invoice ID back to the monday.com job
  • Can apply deposits and final payments against the open invoice and write the payment status back to the job

How it worked for PCMGKC

PCMGKC provides construction, maintenance and landscaping services across the Kansas City metro and the wider Midwest. Project data already lived in monday.com, but invoices were created by hand in accounting software, often in batches. Invoices now generate directly from structured project data as soon as a job is billable, which shortened billing cycles and removed discrepancies between operational and accounting records.

The same architecture applies to Xero and Sage. Most monday.com implementations with accounting integration land toward the upper end of the $8,000 to $25,000 range.

What about Acomba?

Acomba GO, the cloud version of Acomba, can be connected through its API. The desktop version of Acomba needs a different approach. We have not delivered an Acomba integration before, so we confirm which version you run and scope the connection on a call.
